Louisiana wins distinction of having worst drivers in nation
|
According to the Miami Herald, Louisiana has the worst drivers in the nation. The results were based on the amount of tickets, drunk-driving arrests, traffic fatalities, and other moving violations. The data used are along the same lines that insurance companies use in order to determine a particular area’s risk factors when pricing auto insurance policies. That means that drivers in Louisiana will be paying more for car insurance. All of the top ten worst driving states have something else in common beyond high car insurance costs—they are all in the South. So be sure to load up on collision coverage if you happen to live below the Mason-Dixon line, because even if you are one of the safest drivers on the road, the chances are, you are driving alongside one of the worst. |
